Ways To Work Together
Whether you lead an institution or you're leading yourself through change, Sister W.E.L.L.S. meets you with healing-centered, evidence-informed support.
Every engagement leaves you with more than a conversation.
A Clear, Honest Assessment
An evidence-based read on where you or your team truly stands — well-being, burnout, and capacity named plainly, so you're building from reality, not assumption.
A Practical Roadmap
Not just insight, but direction — concrete next steps and priorities tailored to your people, your context, and what's actually within reach.
Tools You Keep
Frameworks, workbooks, and practices — grounded in the W.E.L.L.S.™ Method — that stay with you long after the session ends, so the work is sustainable, not dependent on Dr. Watkins in the room.
A Renewed Sense of Direction
Clarity, alignment, and the confidence to lead from wholeness — the felt shift from just holding on to moving forward with purpose.
Adults doing honest work.
The practice serves adults only. Within that, the work centers people who carry a great deal and are rarely asked how they are holding up.
BIPOC Women
Women navigating identity, systemic stress, family expectations, and the pressure to stay strong while still needing care.
Black Men
Adult men seeking a space where honesty is not a risk — for stress, grief, relationships, purpose, and what has gone unspoken.
Executive & C-Suite Women
Senior leaders who are competent in public and depleted in private, and want to lead without erasing themselves to do it.
Couples
Dating, engaged, and married couples building communication, alignment, and resilience — including PREPARE/ENRICH® pre-marital work.
Helping Professionals
Clinicians, caregivers, educators, and administrators who hold everyone else and have run low on what they give away.
Institutions & Teams
Universities, student affairs divisions, health and wellness units, nonprofits, and organizations building systems of care.
Counseling is provided only to clients physically located in North Carolina at the time of each session. Coaching, consulting, speaking, and courses are available nationally.

A quick way to tell them apart.
These are genuinely different services, with different protections and different aims.
Counseling
You want clinical support for mental health concerns, under a licensed clinician, with the protections of therapy.
Coaching
You are well and want a thinking partner to move forward — direction, boundaries, burnout recovery, leadership.
Consulting
Your organization needs assessment, strategy, or systems built — not an individual service.
Supervision
You are a clinician accruing hours toward licensure or certification in North Carolina.
Licensure & Location
Dr. Sherrá Watkins is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor–Supervisor (LCMHC-S) and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) in the State of North Carolina. Counseling is provided only to clients physically located in North Carolina at the time of each session, through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Coaching, consulting, speaking, and courses are available nationally.
Counseling vs. Coaching
Counseling (psychotherapy) and coaching are distinct services. Counseling addresses mental health concerns under Dr. Watkins' clinical license. Coaching is not therapy, is not a substitute for mental health treatment, does not involve diagnosis, and is not billable to insurance. To protect the clinical relationship, counseling and coaching are not provided to the same individual at the same time.
Good Faith Estimate (No Surprises Act)
Under federal law, clients who are uninsured or not billing insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs for non-emergency services. You will receive one in writing before scheduling or upon request. If you are billed at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill. For more information, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 1-800-985-3059.
Insurance & Payment
Dr. Watkins is in-network with Aetna, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Oxford, UnitedHealthcare, and Optum. Self-pay is welcome, and superbills are provided for out-of-network reimbursement. Coaching, consulting, and supervision are self-pay and not billed to insurance.
Confidentiality
Your privacy is protected under HIPAA and North Carolina law, with limited exceptions required by law (such as risk of harm to self or others, or abuse of a child or vulnerable adult). Outcomes vary by individual; no specific result is guaranteed.
