The Method Behind the Movement

About Sister W.E.L.L.S.

Healing-centered support for leadership, wellness, identity, and restoration.

A space for individuals, leaders, and institutions seeking grounded support, meaningful realignment, and sustainable change.

If Dr. Sherrá Watkins is the voice, Sister W.E.L.L.S., PLLC is the method — the structured ecosystem that delivers her frameworks and tools into the world through consulting, coaching, training, retreats, courses, and certification. One belief anchors all of it: healing is leadership.

How We Got Here

From Sisterhood to Strategy

Sister W.E.L.L.S. was born from sisterhood — and has grown into a framework-driven movement for holistic wellness, leadership development, and liberation. What began as a shared conversation among Black women educators and clinicians has become a national platform centered on well-being as strategy, healing as leadership, and liberation as sustainability.

While its roots are grounded in sisterhood, its evolution reflects a deeper calling: to move from healing alone toward strategy, systems change, and leadership development. Today, Sister W.E.L.L.S. is the methodology and ecosystem behind the work of Dr. Sherrá Watkins — supporting individuals, leaders, and institutions who seek more than services: alignment, clarity, and lasting change.

Sister W.E.L.L.S. is not just a brand. It is a blueprint for leading well — without self-erasure.

Our Roots

The Founding Sisterhood

Sister W.E.L.L.S. was founded in 2017 by three doctoral sisters — Dr. Sherrá Watkins, Dr. Shawnté Elbert, and Dr. Charla Blumell — united by a shared calling to merge wellness, empowerment, and leadership. Today it is led by Dr. Watkins as its Principal Architect.

What We Believe

Wellness is a birthright, not a luxury. Equity is practice, not performance. And the goal isn't resilience inside broken systems — it's building systems people don't have to recover from.

Wellness is not separate from leadership, identity, or belonging. The work of becoming whole requires space for reflection, truth-telling, restoration, and aligned action.

Mission

To restore, realign, and reimagine leadership, wellness, and identity — through a healing-centered, equity-informed, and spiritually grounded (not religion-based) approach that empowers individuals and institutions to thrive.
